646f9e108c In 1986, in Tennessee, the father of the boys Lester and Duff Daniels is murdered by a snake in a weird ceremony. Twenty years later, Duff collects snakes while Les fears them. One day, Duff visits the Kitawa Indian Screaming Hawk to buy snakes and sees a small snake in a jar. He decides to buy the snake, but Screaming Hawk tells that the species is not for sale. He explains that it is the dangerous Unteka that has three rules to raise it: (1) never let the snake out of the jar; (2) never let it eat living animals; and (3) never fear the heart of the snake. Duff steals the Unteka and brings the snake home. However, he accidentally drops the jar and the snake eats his cat. The snake gets bigger and bigger eating animals and the locals. Now Les, his former girlfriend Erin and Screaming Hawk have to stop the Unteka to save the local population.
About the movie: Megasnake is is pretty much what everyone thought it would be, a Scifi original (in other terms, huge hype about it, poor CGI, and a lame plot). But, I was impressed with some of the killing scenes and the fact the acting wasn't horrible. <br/><br/>Why I hated it: This movie was suppose to Feedbacks(winner of WWTBASH) movie. Instead, its about a giant snake and some Native American legend. Feedback is in it, but he only has 2 lines AND doesn't get to use any of his super powers. This is the reason why I didn't give this movie a 5/10.<br/><br/>Over all, the movie itself isn't bad, just kinda crappy looking and plot that is kinda stupid. It isn't really scary, in fact I laughed through most of it. If its on, give it a look, but if your expecting an awesome movie about Feedback, just change the channel. <br/><br/>I give the movie a 3/10.
Oddly, this movie resembles "King Cobra" heavily - the killing of someone watching TV, the police and hillbillies forming additional teams to fight the creature besides the hero group, and even the hero group itself - medical guy, police officer and snake expert - is similar, missing only one character,the character responsible for releasing the snake dies early in "Mega Snake".<br/><br/>Oh, and shed skin scenes. Discovering one might also happen in "Anaconda" but I don't remember - maybe the hunter in "Anaconda" was already carrying it.<br/><br/>Also resembles "Python" - a cop wants to arrest the protagonist for murdering the snake's victims and perhaps the protagonists' ending.<br/><br/>The great snake kitbash brings only the rampage at the fair that's almost new. That, and maybe disjointed attack scenes.<br/><br/>Oh and very poor characters - much worse written than the characters of "Python" and "King Cobra", and even the expendable victims of "Anaconda". Here, the protagonist's brother, for example, mocks the protagonist, blaming their father's death on him at an otherwise casual moment, while the police antagonist is nowhere nearlikablehis counterpart from "Python".
